Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is the cornerstone of our treatment philosophy. Manual Therapy utilizes skilled, hands-on techniques to diagnose and treat soft tissue and joint structures for the purpose of modulating pain, restoring range of motion, reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation, inducing relaxation, improving contractile and non-contractile tissue repair, and improving function through facilitation of movement. We utilize various manual therapy techniques including joint mobilization and manipulation, soft tissue mobilization and joint stretching, myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, neuromuscular re-education, and muscle energy techniques. Once the mechanical movement dysfunction is corrected, specific exercises are introduced and taught to the client to re-educate the neuromuscular system and reintroduce a more normal movement pattern.

Comprehensive Evaluation

We analyze, identify, and correct the faulty musculoskeletal movement patterns that either contribute to or may be the cause of your condition. A personalized therapy plan is implemented to provide segmental and whole body functional recovery, as it relates to daily living, including work, sports, and recreation. This treatment plan will include manual therapy, exercise, as well as modalities if they are needed to treat the problem areas. Additionally, all patients receive education about their condition, instruction in a home exercise program, and education on proper body mechanics and posture to prevent re-injury. Our goal is that the patient achieves rapid results, including pain relief, healing, and renewed strength.
